The Sovereign's Law
1: Aeraean citizens are to come to the aid of any other citizen in dire need.
2: Aeraean military personnel are to consider the needs of the nation before their personal needs at all times.
3: Aeraean citizens abroad are to conduct themselves at all times as ambassadors, displaying courtesy, decorum and fellowship to all who are not declared enemies.
4: Aeraean military personnel are to treat even enemies with respect.
5: Consider at all times other Rangers' feelings and peace of mind. ((If you so much as think of creating drama here, you will be booted instantly. No questions, no second chances.))
Group Rules
The Rangers's looting rules make the gathering of loot from slain enemies considerably faster and more efficient than any other, but require considerable trust in each other. There are no Rangers who cannot be trusted, and no guilds are approached for alliance unless they meet our high standards of moral character.
1: The highest ranking Ranger or ally in a group will be the group leader unless they specify another to take command. Command is to be given to the highest ranking Ranger or ally immediately upon their joining a group.
2: Looting will always be free-for-all in a group that contains only Rangers and allies, unless the ranking Ranger or ally specifies otherwise.
3: All loot of good [green] quality or above will be called out when found (linked in party chat). The rakning Ranger in the group will designate who is to receive the item, or if it will be sent to the shops.
4: If a roll is called for an item, roll only if you actually need the item (will actually equip and use it, not sell or disenchant).
5: It is each Ranger's responsibility to share looting with other members in the group so all members have an equal opportunity to loot.
6: These rules are for Rangers and allies only! If you must adventure with the common people, use group loot as they do. Roll for nothing you do not need, and be polite. Finish what you have to do, and let not their antics upset you. They are not our sort of people, and cannot be expected to have any integrity.
Etiquette
Rangers are to represent themselves in a noble manner in speech and deed when in public (general chats and guild chat). (please avoid 'g33k sp33k', chat abbreviations such as 'plz' and 'ur', and use appropriate capitalization.)
Do not make demands. There is very little in Azeroth that you cannot attain yourself if you must, however difficult the path may be. The other Rangers are there to help you, but not to fulfill your every whim.
Examples:
[Ranger1]: I am venturing into the underground compound of the human criminal VanCleef to relieve him of his henchmen, his sword, and his head. Would anyone care to join me? [Ranger2]: can ne1 run me thru dm so i kin get [cruel barb] plz |
Ranger1 is on the fast track to promotion, and will likely enjoy a long career in the Rangers. She is also ten times as likely to actually get help.
Ranger2 will very likely be kicked out of the guild within the day.
